LECTURE | Rhizomatic Mapping in Design — Developing Innovative Concepts

How do you take scattered inspirations, interview insights, and early sketches and transform them into a coherent design direction? In this lecture, we’ll explore rhizomatic mapping - a creative, non-linear method for organizing research and developing innovative design concepts. You'll learn how to lay out information from diverse sources on a single surface, spot surprising connections, and shape new directions for your design projects.

We’ll look at examples of real rhizomatic maps, discuss multi-channel thinking, and consider how this method restores creative agency in the age of AI tools, making space for human intuition, experimentation, and original thinking.
